Goodland, Kansas

The original Carnegie Library was built in 1912, with the help of a $10,000.00 grant from philanthropist, Andrew Carnegie and is a fine example of the Italian Renaissance Revival style of architecture. For 60 years the library served the community and outlying rural areas, offering many types of reading material.

In 1984, it became the home of the Goodland Arts Council and was renamed the Carnegie Arts Center. Take a look inside, as the Arts Center always has interesting regional art on display every four to six weeks.
